Carbide Coating (Flame Spraying)

This technique is used to add or repair surface layers.


This process uses fuel gas to which the coating powder is than added. An ignition takes place by adding oxygen directed at the surface area to apply a carbide coating. This technique is used to repair metal parts (bearing sections, seals) or to “bond” coat certain areas combined with Ni(5)Al. A wide range of coatings is available using flame spraying. This owner has decades of experience in the fields of repairing and manufacturing machine parts.
