Use Case - Precision Mechanics

Precision mechanics is about going to the extreme. It concerns for example metal cutting but not traditionally in milli-meters but down to micro-meters. That means one thousandth of a milli-meter, which abviously requires expertise and know-how and therefore not many companies are able to take this kind of manufacturing assignments.

If you wonder what kind of applications require precision mechanics, here are a few examples of industries as well as applications and products:

Industries: watchmaking, prototyping, aerospace, automobile, medical etc.

Applications: manufacturing of a watch gear or of ship model parts through precision milling, high-speed grinding of turbine or compressor blades of an aircraft engine, electrical discharge machining or laser drilling of cooling holes in combustion chambers of aircraft engines, manufacturing of robot parts for the facilitation of complex surgery etc.
